Susan E Geschke

Dr. Susan E. Geschke currently directs the handbell and vocal choirs at Crosspoint Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Illinois. Her choirs include ringers of all ages and levels of experience. Susan is an energetic and inspiring conductor with a reputation for combining hard work with fun. She enthusiastically promotes opportunities for combined musical efforts such as handbells and flute, handbells and choir, etc. People have told her that her rehearsals are more like an aerobic workout than a rehearsal, featuring a high energy level combined with hard work and lots of laughter. She actively composes and arranges handbell music and has more than 100 publications, ranging from traditional to contemporary styles of music and original works.

Susan graduated Summa Cum Lauda from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and continued there to earn her doctorate. She resides in Crystal Lake, Illinois with her husband, Cliff, her two children, Timothy and Paul, and a lively puppy, Smokey. In her spare time, Susan enjoys kayaking, zip lining, reading, spending time with family and friends, and diving deeper into God's Word.
